11/15 - 225 (made 229.4 - umm, four and a half pounds off? EESH! But that's only seven tiny pounds in two weeks for my next goal. Brainless optimism? Perhaps. Or maybe just trying to psych myself up for even a two pound loss in that time!)

Lost 40 lbs.

About Me

After six months on this site, I had lost 35 pounds. Then, without making any negative changes, I gained back a few of those pounds. So now I'm being challenged to move more, eat less and work harder than I already have been! Bring on the next six months!

Hey you! Thanks for calling the church, hopefully we will hear something soon. You are doing awesome! Keep it up! I need to weigh in soon, but I usually weigh in my pjs, and it finally got cold here, and I run to get dressed in the morning so am afraid that will add weight! I probably gained anyway – lots of stress and even though I haven’t eaten terribly whenever I am stressed I can eat a banana and gain 5lbs.

I could not make it to the last 2 weeks of bible study because Chris started back at school the same night that the study was. They are doing something on Wed. nights though to help us get through the holidays and then in Jan. they will start the class again. I may take the Wed night class, but lately Chris and I have been using that time to get some alone time when we take Kyle to Awana. I will keep rereading the bible study though because it is filled with such good scripture for a bunch of areas not just overeating like you said about that conference you went to, and each time I study a passage there is something new the Lord points out to me!

I mean to tell you that I stopped emailing you what I was eating when you started south beach because I felt really bad that I was having no restrictions just moderate amounts and felt like it would be terribly mean to tell you what I was eating while you were trying to not eat certain foods. Not because of any weirdness my dear, love you!

A little info about MS. The protective coating on my nerves in my brain is gone in some spots. This causes all kinds of neurological symptoms. It's a multi-faceted disease. Anything in your body affected by your brain (which is everything) can be affected by MS. Basically if you think of your brain as a machine that runs a lot of stuff, my wires are stripped and crossed and I short circut. My symptoms don't always match the cause. For example, if I get stressed out, like everyone else I get very tired. But I may get tremmors in my hands, muscle spasms in my legs or numbness in my face. Also, my energy gets zapped by the heat 20 times faster than the average person. Walking to my neighbors 2 houses down is enough to wipe me out in the Summer time and I'll need a 2 hour nap to recover. Unfortunately, I live in the suburbs of Houston where it's a sauna all but maybe 2 months out of the year. However, it's cooled off a lot and it's like someone gave me a jolt of energy! I'm loving it and it helps me get thru my workouts with Sam. If it was Summer, I'd never be able to do it.
MS can also affect vision, speech, muscle control and cause many other symptoms. When I first figured out something was wrong with me I saw a doctor. (extreme fatigue and muscle weakness) By the time I got a diagnosis I was rushed to the hospital. Over a weeks time I lost all muscle control and had a pins-and-needles sensation over my entire left side of my body. When I got to the hospital I looked like I had a stroke. It was VERY scary! There are diferent levels of MS. I have "Relapsing-Remiting MS". It's low on the totempole as far as this disease is concerned. I'm very blessed to have some of the best hospitals in the world near by. My neurologist is one of the best in his field. All he treats is MS patients.

I hope this info helps you understand MS. Awareness is half the battle to finding a cure. Thanks for your continued support and concern. Not just for my MS but for my weight loss journey as well. :)

the aftermath...well, we got back together. and he is sincere about working things out.

school...well, i'm on internship, so one stinkin report is going to be my entire semester gpa. i am soooooooo nervous about it i cannot even begin to explain.

I finially got it! I posted a pic of my trainer on my journal entry today. Check it out. He's a great motivator. When I feel discouraged he does the exercise right along with me! It shows me that it can be done!!! Hope you have a great week! You're really getting closer to your goal. Under 50lbs to go! Woo!!!

I don't know when we will do our cards now, Jenne cut Kyle's hair Saturday just a little too short. I will have to wait for it to grow out a little UGH!

YOU GO GIRL!!!YOU ARE DOING FANTASTIC!!! IT REALY GETS ME MOTIVATED TO HEAR HOW GOOD EVERYONE IS DOING... AND KNOWING THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS UP AND DOWN DAYS...YOU SEAD YOU WANTED TO HEAR SOMETHING I AM FEELING PROUD ABOUT?? WELL THE HOLLIDAYS ARE AROUND THE CORNER AND I THINK THIS YEAR WILL BE A GOOD YEAR!!! WHY DO YOU ASK??? I AM THE ONE WHO WILL BE DOING THE COOKING AND THE MENU HAS NOW CHANGED...MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS IN STORE FOR THEM...LOL...I HAVE FOUND SOME WONDERFULL RECIPES AND I THINK EVERYONE WILL ENJOY THEM...
