About Me
Just another fatboy. Ok there may be a little more to me...not much but a little. :) I really got into fitness back in 2001 when my divorce was going through. I followed the Body for Life plan which talk me a lot about nutrition and working out. I lost a little over 70 pounds that year and dropped from a 42 inch waist to a 32 inch. I kept my weight off and maintained my shape for about 5-6 years. Then I injured my back twice in the gym within one week. A month later I had a snowboarding accident that finally took me down. I stopped working out and also started eating crap again. So for the last couple years I've lost a lot of ground and am nowhere near where I was before.
I started up a website at the beginning of this year to help me stay motivated. It grew into a site that I wanted to put information on to help others learn about nutrition and fitness. I became an AFAA certified personal trainer 2 years ago, even though my full-time job is an engineer, because I love learning about and sharing fitness tips with others. I will be updating my site with my progress during this challenge and also start a major overhaul and get a lot more info posted up there soon. If you want to check it out, go to www.runfatboyrunyan.com.
Good luck to everyone out there trying to make yourself into something better. It will be the best transition in your life and you will be amazed at how much it positively affects every aspect of your life. That is why I want it back so badly. :)

How's it going with ya? It's getting cold in Ga, trying hard to stay active.

I figured you're body fat at 28%. A great starting point for the competition.

R, I love your story man and I'm sure you'll have no problem getting back to where you were with some hard work of course. I'm a BFL too, love what Bill Phillips does. Checked out your site, it's real cool. I'm trying to get where you have been, got a 100lbs to lose so I welcome any tips, or "adaboys"

Hey thanks for the add! I checked out your website and I think it's awesome. I hope you don't mind but I added it to "my stuff". I think I have some pretty good weightloss tips there and your website adds A LOT to what I have. Your story is an inspirition! :) Currently I'm working out with a trainer and totally changed what I eat, how I eat and how I look at food. I'm proud to say that I've droped 10#'s with since working with my trainer and 3#'s prior to that. My last session with him is Wednesday but I'm not worried. He's taught me a lot and I have made going to the gym part of my regular schedule. Good luck with your journey. Have a great week and be blessed! -Patricia
