Thursday was pretty uneventful. And whatever I ate must have not been very impressive because I can only remember part of it. I am getting old, I... more

So I'm confused--did you gain back the weight you lost or are you still down 2 lbs? I am with you...it's hard not to weight each day. But the one thing you can gain from it is seeing when you go up and down consistantly--for example, do you always tend to go up on Weds? I like your goals. Mine would be 1) to continue to drink more water--I'm doing good so far. 2)drink only 1 soda a day, 3) increase fruits, veggies and protein.
Ok, almost through our second week. I weighed this morning and I'm down by 2...I hope I can keep it up!

You lost 2LBS?!?! Way to go!!! Thanks for the motivation. Yes, I am very excited about losing weight for my role...and the other incentive to lose is the fact that I'm hoping to go home for Mardi Gras the last weekend in February. And I'd LOVE to lose a few pounds before then.
I agree with you on how gaining just a few pounds can make a huge difference in clothes. I love to have a dress or something in my "perfect" size that I can put on to see how it fits. The closer I get fitting into it, the more motivated I feel. So keep those few things that you can't quite fit into and try them on to see how you're doing. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can get back into them!

Here is a fabulous smootie recipe that I just came up with:
-(1) fat free vanilla yogurt-I think they are usualy 6-8oz either works
-a splash of milk
-(1)banana
-(6) pineapple chunks (I used the can kind--lite if you can get it)
-(2) tsp of vanilla protein powder (just because I don't get enough protein)
throw everything in a blender and blend...YUMMY and a great way to get dairy and fruit. Can be a snack or could replace breakfast.

I think your idea is great...I'll have to figure out what my percentage is...ok I did that very wrong...I want to hit 154 so I was dividing 154 by 190 which was telling me 78%...Actually I want to lose 41 so I divided that by 195 and got 21%. So I'll say 20% like you and we'll have the same goal which makes sense. I like looking at the percentage rather than the pounds. In any case, I like the idea of a little weekend away. Maybe we should use it as a shopping trip for new clothes. My goal is to lose at least 10-15 by the end of February when I go home for Mardi Gras. Never like to go home chubby. Ok, I'm going to journal my food and take a look at your journaling as well. Hope you are doing well with your foods!

You are so cute. I love your motivation. And I hope to try and help every day. You'd be proud. I was leaving a lab committee meeting tonight and someone offered me a piece of birthday cake and I said--"no thank you, I ran 3 miles last night and I didn't do it for a piece of cake."

Well it looks like you are back on track after the holiday. I have not been journaling but I will say that I have gotten better about exercising and have tried to watch my eating and water. Will have to get back on track with my journaling next week. But look at us--LOSING!!!
