About Me
I am a 35 year old mother of 3. I have my BS in Social Work but am currently a stay-at-home mom and daycare provider for 4 children. I was in great shape until I had my first child (almost 11 years ago) and went through a very sad divorce, then fell into a deep depression that still has a grip on me ~~ unfortunately food has been my comfort through the rough moments.
I am now married again and have 2 more kiddos ~ and would LOVE to lose this weight and feel good again!

Hey there! Just thought I'd stop by to check on you.
Looks like things are moving in the right direction!
Remember any of us can only EVER take this stuff one day- one meal at a time. You'll get there- just keep picking away at it & before you know it, you'll be seeing results & so will everyone else!!! :)

Two things..
1st I proud of your starting over mentallity (sp)
2nd a tip for when I buy food that I really shouldn't be having, is I ruin it.. I know what a waste of money and perfectly bad delicious food, but it works. You'll stop buying it cause you don't want to waste your food or money. For example, I bought a bag of doritos one time and start to indulge and I realized that the moment of feeling good was temperary but the moments of feeling good when I'm thin last, so I dumped the entire bag in the outside garbage, knowing I wouldn't go in after it..lol.. Or when your at a resturant and they bring you giant portions of food and you know you should only eat half.. I seperate the half and pour salt all over it.. I know it sounds crazy but sometimes I have no self control.. and this works.. :) Chin up chica you can do this!!

You know what I just jumped in too.. Just remember to reward yourself for the little achievements. If you eat healthy for breakfast but mess up lunch, remind yourself thats one step better then before. Before you may have just eaten what ever you wanted and thought about it. We are retraining our minds and bodies, and I'm proud of us for taking the first step..lol.. ok thats your pep talk..:) bye

I am having trouble finding that big committment. What helped you get there? I completely understand the depression aspect. I am also a stress eater and under a lot of that. I work full time as a commercial lender at a bank, I have 2 children, and I am working on my MBA. Not to mention that one of my 2 children has some major medical problems. He is currently on IV antibiotics at home every 6 hours, and has been for the past 6 weeks. I am hoping this site can help me find my commitment.

I hear you about the staying home part. I gained 20 pounds that first year of being with the kids. I am trying to work on it. I don't eat what I feed the kids and chew gum while I am cooking, when I have it. I try and hide it from my son (he is 3) so he doesn't chew it all!! Thanks for the comment and we can give each other helpful hints, since we are both in the same type of household. Thanks.
