Main Goal

I try to stay active, but it is mostly doing stuff to entertain my son, not necessarily things that raise my heart rate. So my goal is to lose 5-10 lbs and gain muscle mass in the process. I'd also like to get a little more flexible and just feel better about my body (a.k.a. Be Less Giggly).

Previous Diets

Man, I've tried a few. The most memorable being the infamous Cabbage Soup Diet...NOT recommended. It works for losing water weight, but you are prepared to eat a hippo when you go off of it and you are a total bitch the entire time you are on it.

Favorite Workouts

Pilates BY FAR with some Yoga thrown in. I will tolerate the treadmill if I have to, but I don't do that very often at all. I like to walk (I am not a runner), but I don't get out there and do that enough either. I also like to swim but it never turns into a workout, just floating around the pool. Hmm, do you see a trend here.

Things To Do Before I Die

Write a children's book and get published, and travel more (Europe- like Greece and Italy, and Australia).

Favorite Activities

Photography, writing, hanging with my family and friends, podcasting

About Me

Stay-at-home mom to one 3 year-old son. I work part time from home as a travel agent, but my new favorite venture is the podcasting site with Mrs. Flinger. She's the one who's forcing me to do this by the way and I love (and hate her at the same time) for it.

Three pounds is three pounds, woman! You are doing great! Look at the progress. It's only been four weeks. ;-)

I read somewhere that you can fluctuate up to 8 lbs. from morning to evening since you're eating throughout the day. Definitely weigh yourself in the morning. You're doing a terrific job! Congrats on the pound lost!

I SO need a new scale. It says that I lost a pound since yesterday morning. Maybe with all that water drinking I lost a pound of excess water? I know that comes off fast in the beginning- OR maybe it's since I just finished my period, so maybe I am less bloated? At any rate, I am going to get a new scale...only I have to do that next week since *someone* here is also challenging me to not spend any money at all this week too!

20 minutes of excersise on day 1 and 8 glasses of water. What a fabulous start! I dare you to do it today (wow thats so elementary, but while Im at it lets go all the way). I triple dog dare you!

I walk around the track at the gym. I only wish it was an inside track as it is literally freezing today (31 degrees!). The elliptical is easy cause its in the living room, Im just usually to lazy to get on it.
