Main Goal

It's not so much "losing weight" I'm concerned about, I really just want to get into better shape, tone up, feel better about myself and do some weightlifting. So, more muscle does not necessarily mean weight loss, but I'm sure I'll shed a few inches.

Previous Diets

I've never been on a diet. I've never believed in a diet as a short term thing. For me, a diet is just the way you eat, that's it's definition. I do fresh fruit & veggie juice fasts for detoxing, but they are NOT juice diets.

Favorite Workouts

Uhm, I like the rowing machine at the gym. I also use the elliptical and the step machine. I'm trying to get into good enough shape to attempt doing the Crossfit workouts.

Favorite Activities

I like anything that includes the outdoors, but mostly rock climbing, mountain biking and scuba!

Favorite Music

I like all kinds, really, it just depends on my mood.

Favorite Movies

I watched a movie called Water, the other day, it was really good.

Favorite TV Shows

I don't watch TV.

Favorite Books

Well, my favorite author is Chuck Pahliniuk...I think I spelled that wrong...

Other Interests

My husband! Joseph! He makes me want to be a better person!

Wow, today I went to a 60 minute pilates course. Holy moly! It was freaking hard! My legs and arms were shaking! Then this evening I went climbing.... more

I think I will just categorize bike riding as bike riding. Not to be confused with trainer. What is a squooshy map?

Thanks for inviting me to climb with you and Hindo. I had a LOT of fun and am not too sore :D Anyway, would like to go again. Who knows? with climbing and swimming (when I go regularly) I could be in great shape!! :D Thanks for breaking me out of a shell and rutt! Have a great day.

That is awesome that "Shaunalynn" went rock climbing! I love hearing about people getting out of their comfort zones. When are you taking the girls?

Thanks for encouraging me to try something new! I had a lot of fun, though my legs are sore and it has not even been 12 hours since I climbed! :O LOL Anyway, I am really glad to be going to the gym with you, I really need it and am glad for the accountablitiy! I need that too. lol I wonder if some of my weight gain is stress ? ? ? but hope that I start seeing a reduction here soon. . . :S Oh well, time will tell. Thanks for making me push beyond the same old routine! :D

I think that I have gained some of the weight back because I'm gaining more muscles. I am not to dissappointed because I still have lost some pretty good inches for the most part I am doing great! I think that after we move and get settled in I will start an 8 week boarder line vegetarian meal plan, so that has me excited too!
