Lost 10 lbs.

About Me

I am 38 years old, and have been trying to get all my quit smoking start eating weight off since Jan. 2008. I have now lost 41 pounds of it! I lost the most part of that threw walking, walking, and even alittle more walking. I have walked up to 15 miles in one day. I have been completely amazed at how much walking will take away from the belly!
Back in Oct. I joined the Biggest Looser On Line. Joining in the challeges there I have lost about 10 of those pounds. A friend I met there told me about this site, and here I am looking to lose weight with ya!

Hi, Laura
My mom didn't need a stent, must have been a shadow on the image. I was very happy about that! I am doing well, dove into the weight loss challenge. Write when you get a chance. Laura

Laura, Hi. I am a Preschool teacher and also do afterschool care at a small private school. I just love kids and have worked with them for years. Today was hard, hard, hard. Most of the older boys came with major attitude and everything was a debate. UGH. Finally I said "time out if you say one more thing." I know that sounds bad and I will be working on some better answers tomorrow but they were just impossible. Still I did well and kept within my calories and exercised before work so I wouldn't wimp out at the end of the day. Boy am I glad I did that. Anyway Good Day! How was yours? How is this new site and challenge going for you? I just love learning all of these new ideas from you Biggest Loser guys. Hey part of my program is to laugh more and it makes me smile when I share them so.....
Funny time;

Strawberries

A farmer was driving along the road with a load of
fertilizer. A little boy, playing in front of his house, saw
him and called, "What have you got in your truck?"

"Fertilizer," the farmer replied.

"What are you going to do with it?" asked the little boy.

"Put it on strawberries," answered the farmer.

"You ought to live here," the little boy advised him. "We
put sugar and cream on ours."

Received from RichnAnna.

Hi, Laura
I'm doing well so far. Made it through day one successfully which is half the battle for me. Tomorrow will be tough, I have to go to the hospital with my mom, she's having a catherization done. I'm taking some food(nuts) to snack on which will probably be gone in the first 10 min. I'm there! I'm nervous that she may need surgery(pray she doesn't). Talk to you soon.

Thanks Laura for the report on your neighbour...my sister just emailed me and she's freaking out...she was just told that her entire head has to be shaved, and that it's going to be really painful so for her to keep asking for pain meds after, and it's going to be a 3-4 hour surgery. But I told her that she's strong, and this is a chance to possibly be cured, or her symptoms lessoned so she can live a more normal life....I feel bad for her.

Your motvator report came through this morning, I saw you had a setback. Just get right back to it! You are definately on a good downward trend. I'll check back later. Have a good one.
