About Me

I'm a 19 year old young woman from Massachusetts. I love life and I feel the only way to really live, is to be happy with myself, including my body. I've been there once... and it feels great! To be on top of my game... is the main goal, to be back on track. I've been to a weight loss boarding school in California... I spent 5 months there and lost 50 pounds. And this seems to be a great place, for all of us to come together, to beat down one problem we all have! Good Luck to everyone! And hopefully this can be the tool to help us all!

I just thought I'd pop in to see how your doing. You CAN reach those goals you have set for yourself! Just get back up on that horse, hold on tight and give it a good kick!! :)

Hi there. I see you are in two challenges...and having a hard time getting motivated. I can definitely relate. I'm the laziest person I know. lol.

I'm in the process of getting into the habit of regular exercise too and boy has it been tough. For me, I just know that once I start something, no matter how hard it is to continue the next day I just have to make myself do it. Otherwise I'll slide back and fight with myself over it until I eventually get up again. So, my advice to you is to stop fighting it! lol. Don’t let it get out of hand like I did. It's not worth it in the end and believe me, the problem wont go away by itself. I soooo wish I'd started dealing with this at 19. Well, better late than never as they say :)

Thanks for the add and try to stay positive. Remember your reasons for wanting to do this and don't give up! The real challenge starts with you and once you have dealt with that, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!

So great that you have made a start! Setting a regular time to exercise helped me to keep it up. I try to get the exercise over with in the morning so I don't have to deal with those pesky thoughts about having to do it all day long and then feeling bad because I didn't. It was hard at first to find the time because it was something new and there is always something else to do.

Now that your up, keep going! I promise it does get easier.

Hello again. How are things going? I hope everything is ok and that you are well.

I had a very bad start in the beginning but thanks to Melanies encouragement I managed to feel more positive get up.

If you would like some help to get going with the exercising let me know. I am here to help.

Hi Theresa,
How is the walking going for you? I know its hard to get started but once you make the habit it gets easier. You can definitely find a lot of motivation on this site. Its great to have others who share the same struggles and can also celebrate your success. Good Luck!

Excellent! Another keen competitor. Welocme aboard and good luck with BOTH of your challenges.

I have always had a hard time with exercise but I'm hoping to form new habits through the challenge I'm in and hopefully learn to enjoy it by the end of it. So far I'm doing ok and have managed to keep up with my personal goal of an hour a day. It's hard on those days that I really don't feel like it but so far I havn't given in which is a real accomplishment for me :-)

I see on your profile that you have lost alot of weight in the past. Congrats for managing to keep 30 lbs of it off! What a great achievement!
