To everyone:
This is what we all need to be doing. I noticed everyone is doing cardio which is awesome. This will get you in shape but it will not get the results we are all looking for. We all see the biggest loser and see these people drop 50 to 100 lbs and 15 lbs in one week! We all would love to do this and we are all working really hard, but just cardio is not going to get these results. Sarah can attest to this. When we both were training for the dam to dam I was in good shape. I consider being able to run 2 hrs non-stop good shape. While I was training for this I would run about 15-20 miles a week, it was very tough. The problem is I only dropped maybe 7-10 lbs in that 3 month period. If you do that much training you are going to want to look good in a bathing suit. I was still pretty soft all over. Another good example is Rod, he runs 50-60 miles a week. I wouldn’t exactly call him ‘swole’ but he’s health. Everyone needs to be doing weight training. Weight training will build muscles. 1 lb. of muscle burns more than double the calories as 1 lb of fat at rest. This will get your metabolism up and get the massive weight loss we are looking for. From some of the research I’ve done the best way to go about this is to work on your big muscle groups (back, stomach, legs, etc.). I think everyone should google some weight training plans, pick a few, and start working at it. Just some suggestions to help everyone out in the long run. Keep up the good work.
p.s. if anyone has dirty clothes on july 4th, I’ll be washing clothes on my abs, bring your own soap.
