Hi! Are you training for any marathons right now? I haven't been able to get out an run for awhile, but I workout on the elliptical every day. I sprained my ankle a few weeks ago. I am hope that I will be able to run soon. If I can workout on the elliptical for 60 min. at level 12 (out of 17 levels) I should be able to run 3 miles with out stopping. I will try it as soon as my ankle heals a little more. I am shooting for next week.

Hi - How is it going? I went outside and ran 4 miles yesterday before the Superbowl. I walked little parts but I averaged 10 min. miles. Not bad for just getting back into it. It felt great & I can feel it today.

Thanks...yes I love to run. I run 4-8 miles 5 to 6 days a week. I have ran and completed 3 Chicago Marathons. I do run a lot of 5 and 10ks and a few half marathons too. I seem to not having a trouble staying motivated to run but my eating is what kills me! Good luck!

Hi again! 3 boys! yikes! Sleep now! With hormones and lack of sleep.... Yuck I don't want to go through that again. My husband once said "Napping is not a hobby". He also was never home and I was exhausted. When the baby would cry, it sounded like nails on a chalk board and I felt helpless...... It gets better and it all becomes a faint memory.
Running - 2 years ago I ran in an 80 mile relay race with a bunch of friends. I basically ran 3 - 4 mile legs of the race 3x. I ran about 10 miles that day. That was my first race. I would like to do it again but the people I ran it with didn't enjoy it like I did. I would like to run a 5 K this summer. I am so competitive that I am a little hesitant to do this, because I would want t to try and keep up with the other runners. I would have a hard time running my own race. When I did the relay race I would pick out one person to pass every leg. I will see in a month when I can get outside and run. WI weather is keeping me inside right now. Last year I was still running outside in Jan.
Have a great day - Take a nap! :)

Hi, Thanks for the comment and the support.
I see you like to run. I do too, but I haven't been able to since Sept. I am so out of shape right now.
6 weeks ? Baby?
I have 2 boys 5 &7 years old. It is hard to make the time to exercise when they are really little. It is so easy for me to make excuses. Have a great day!

Hi Jules, thanks for wanting to be my friend. I have lost 7 bls since I started last week and have 43 more to go. I am just getting back into walking and doing a mile or two at the mall or in the neighborhood is all I do now. I have done 5ks in the past and maybe I will start doing that again as I build up to it.
How did you do in the Marathon? Tell me what you are doing to train for running.
Thanks again
Sue Reed

I just finished my first 5K! I am addicted! It was fun. The coarse had a hill at the very beginning and at the end. I did the whole thing in 26 min. I was a little disappointed, because I wanted to be under 26 min. It was a mass start and with the 2 sec. delay, I was actually under 26 min. .... right? Ha! I hope all is well with you!
