About Me
I fell off the wagon due to emotional eating. I have always been a compulsive overeater. I try to attend OA while I live alone in a traveling profession. I have 40 pounds to loose in order to get back to where I was a year ago.

Hey there! I'm so excited to be one of your motivators. I went through a really hard time in my 20s also. There's so much to figure out, and life is a lot to keep up with.
We all fall of the wagon sometimes. I do at that time of the month EVERY month. The most important thing is to not throw your hands up in the air that day and say "f" it, I just totally went off the wagon, so I'll just keep eating.
Another thing for you to keep in mind...at 5'9" and 180, you are still healthy. Don't be too hard on yourself here. Your body does change as you get older. Hell, my goal is to be back at 185 at your same height ;) I know it's uncomfortable and not what you're used to, please try not to stress about it too much. You will make yourself crazy and eat more.
I'm in the Chicago area also, so if you ever want to talk just let me know!!

Hi! You are right, living alone is harder. Is there a local gym or something to join to keep you busy in the evenings? Do you have a pet? My dogs have always helped keep me company. I know how you feel about the eating.... I grew up in the age of eat everything on your plate... I still have that problem. One thing that I think helps me with the binge eating, is working out later and then eating. Your not as hungry after a work out and you tend to eat less. In the evenings I check in here and that helps me to stay motivated. I have found a great friend on WLW and we really support each other. I also use journal and the logging of stats helps me on track. Hang in there, warm weather is on it's way and that always helps.

The daily challenge of writing it down will be hard for me (routine huh!). But I will try! It's not so much the food now since cutting back sugar I think my cravings slowed. But I will log the water while you log calories. That would just be too much work for me! heeheehee
Hope you have a splendid week!

Hi! I can't remember where I first saw your profile, but I requested your friendship mostly because of your name....I'm assuming you are working in the airline industry or something similar??? As you might have guessed from my name.....my boyfriend is an airline pilot....and it's always interesting to meet other people who understand the lifestyle......Hope things are well for you! ....Jess

How is the exercise coming along? Hope you are doing well! It will make you feel uncomfortable at times but for the rest of the day marvelous! Hope to see the Steinfield Chain building. You are a wonderful person and deserve to feel great!

Thanks for adding my to your friendship list. If you have a moment take a look at my Journal and see if the Seinfield Chain is something that might be helpful. It is really very easy and if you (like myself) have trouble sticking to a plan or program this technique may work for you. Hope you reach all your goals! ~bobi~

The best you can do for anyone is to thrive fully and be willing to explain to anyone who asks how it is that you are thriving, and what it is that you've discovered—and then, just relax and trust that all truly is well. ~Abraham-Hicks~
Eat healthy and exercise! Have people asking how you are thriving! :)
