Congratulations on trying to finish your degree! I'm not trying to be a pressure, just an encouragement. September has been my worst month. I'm struggling with all the lousy birthday cakes we have in our world - FIVE in our family! - and it's hard to make good choices. But we're coming to the end, so PRAISE THE LORD!

Way to go on not gaining with your meds! Since that's a pretty stable side effect, I'd say you're doing an incredible job just staying where you are!

hey,,,,if you look at my stats you know i've been yo-yoing too, but i need to get seriuos and back on track.... i've had 6 babies and normal been able to get on track and back to per baby size in a yr. (i've alwaysed had a weight issues, i've never been one of those "thin"people and i've worked hard to get where i want to be) i've done w.w. every time and it wasn't working so well for me this time (think it was lack of my faithfulness) tried doing cal. count, it worked when i did it. anyway back to doing w.w. as of today and i need to make it work, obviuoslt journaling, journaling , journaling. what did work best for me in the past was after weigh in i'd do 2 high pt. days, 2 med. pt. days and 3 low right before weigh in. (when i first joined ww there was a point reange to follow, i'm sure if you googl;ed it, it would come up. and drink your water. not too some about what exactlly fibrom. does so i can't give you too many pointers on excerise, but would the water help?
hope some of this helps, i understand the water to be thin and just not getting there, the most important part.
never give up!!!1
good luck.

Erica Jayne, are you still around? How are things going for you? How are you feeling?

Well, just all kinds of congratulations on wanting to get pg! So I'll just keep my fingers crossed that the therapy helps. I understand the frustration of having to make that choice, though. I ended up with Bell's Palsy after the birth of my second - actually, the day of! - and after a week, the pain was so bad that I thought I was going to die. When full doses of Percocet don't touch pain, you know you're in sorry shape. So they prescribed Lyrica for me. But I was nursing my son, and it hasn't been approved for use with that. So I had to make the choice ~ quit nursing and end the pain, or try to keep from crying all the time and hope that my son appreciates my sacrifice. The pain ended five days after I made the choice to avoid drugs, and my son is still nursing - and hasn't been sick a day of his life!

Sorry about the novel, but I just wanted you to know that I understand the irritation of knowing that help might be in a tiny pill, but that it contradicts the plans you have for life. Keep me posted on the therapy!

Hey, Erica! How are things going for you? Life, love, etc? Are you feeling any better? My MIL says the Lyrica is really starting to kick in with her FM, so if that's not something they've discussed, it might be worth mentioning. Hope you're doing well, and that you can get outside today and enjoy this beautiful SUMMER!

Good morning, girlio! It's FRIDAY! Any big plans for the weekend? I hope you get to get out in the world today and spend some time enjoying the sky! (It's big, you know!)

Hi Erica,

My mom has fibromyalgia. From what I know about it, it is an autoimmune disorder of unknown causes. I'm sorry to hear that you might/probably have it, I know that it's quite painfull. I've been tested for food allergies (IgG test by ELISA analysis) & through trial & error, I have a lot of joint inflammation (corresponds with pain), water retention, lethargy, mood swings, & sun sensitivity when I eat foods that I'm allergic to. I also have environmental allergies. All allergies are an autoimmune response. It seems to me that my symptoms correspond with fibryomalgia symptoms, except on a much milder scale. Since doctors don't know the cause, I think it's feasible that prolonged exposure to things that your body recognizes as toxins can put your body into a hypersensitive response mode & if you continually expose yourself to allergies, your body's ability to cope with the autoimmune response may decrease over time. I've been trying to convince my mom for years now to get allergy testing done, but her stance is, "even if I found out that allergies were causing (some?) of the symptoms, I still wouldn't deprive myself of eating things that I like." We both also have eczema - just another autoimmune response! Food for thought (pun totally intended!) :} Good luck in all!
