Day 1

Today was my first day on this new eating plan. It is weird! It reminds me a bit of "the zone" eating plan. The Venice Nutrition website ... more

About Me

MY weight is way up. I started out at 185 in 2006 and was down to 138 in Dec of 07. A stressful move across the country induced some emotional eating over the summer. My goals are to get back into a schedule of working out 4-5 days a week and keeping my calories in a losing range while eating healthy foods.

School is back in session and so is my normal schedule Thank goodness! Now I just need to get into a "losing" routine!

Hi there. It looks like your having an extended 'break' from the weight war...I did the same and gained almost 30 lbs in six months as my reward! It can only get worse the longer you leave it so come on back and let's start moving you up that leader board before New Year is here!!!
I know how hard it is to get back up when you've been down but you can do it Elisha!!

Hi-I started a challenge on January 1st. I began just with walking and started running probably in February. I could barely run a mile at the time. I am still slow and steady but can finish up to 10 miles now without walking. I really liked the Run Amuck in Quantico it is not until June but it is a 5K with obstacle course and mud pit. It was challenging but I think everyone that did it with me enjoyed it. I grew up in Herndon and that is where most of my family still lives.

Hi! It takes awhile to get back in the swing of things. I have been struggling since school started. I have to help my boys with homework afterschool and then make supper and then getting organized for the next day..... By the time the kids go to be I am so tired. I have been making time to exercise but it is usally around 8 pm. Then of coarse I am not sleepy until late. It is a vicious cycle.

You will get the swing of things and find the time for exercise. The boyfriend will have to make you dinner! :) He he... Make time to work out and everything else will fall into place. :) I am always here if you need a workout buddy accross the country! I have a bunch of new shows taped and looking forward to 8 pm so I can catch up on my tv shows & work out on my elliptical. Ha!
Have a great day!

Humidity? Ha! I do understand that! Wisconsin has a little of everything. I took my boys to a movie the other day because it was so hot & humid. I am glad to hear that you are adjusting and getting into a routine. Keep it up!

Sounds like you’ve got a LOT on your plate right now! That’s smart thinking too...why stress yourself out anymore than you need to be. Before you know it everything will be sorted out and you’ll be able to get back into to the business side of shifting that weight :) I’ve been stuck at around the same weight...give or take a pound...for about three weeks, but today I reached a new all time low in weight for the year, so maybe things are beginning to look up? I sure hope so!

I ran outta gas at 18km and struggled until I saw the finish line then sprinted to the end what a feeling. It was great, couldn't have imagined doing this a year and half ago at 50lbs heavier.
According to my GPS I finished it in 1:48, I lost about 90 seconds in the last 3km. I finished 1268 out of 10,000 that registered, it was pretty cool running in that large of a crowd.
