Main Goal

I'm an athletic 48 year old, but want to lose some of my gut. I did Atkins about 8 years ago and lost about 55 lbs. At this point I've gained about 10 of those back and would like to be under 200 lbs.

About Me

I'm a dad of 4 adult children, married to a great woman, teach adjunct at a couple graduate schools and am the pastor of a small, young congregation. I like to workout -- and that's good because work has me sitting, studying, and not moving that much.

Hi Dennis, Thanks for adding me as a friend. I see a slim trim pastor telling the members of his church the word of GOD with vigor, excitment, and energy. If you can see the same thing, then the battle is already won. (smile)

Hi Dennis,

Yep, I'm a biker. :) Well at least I used to be. But now I usually stick to the stationary version most of the time.

Have you been riding recently? In my riding days I used to ride every where stores, to visit friends, relatives etc. It was great. Though once the kids came along it got harder to find babysitters so my husband and I could ride so it became more and more infrequent until our rides together just had to stop do to lack of time, babysitters or just shear exaution with both of us working and three kids.

I do want to start riding my regular bike soon but it needs a bit of repair so I asked my husband to fix it up for me now that the weather is coperating. But he's been really busy at work lately and is supposed to fix it this weekend. I know I could have used one of the other bikes but they have horrible seats on them. We just got our daughter a beautiful roadster for her birthday but it has one of those tiny little racing seats on it and is the most uncomfortable thing in the world. So I'm stuck with the stationary bike till mine gets fixed. Here's to hoping for this weekend for it to get fixed.

Thanks for checking in and I hope you get out there and enjoy your bike again soon.
