To feel comfortable w/a HEALTHY body and for selfish reasons, would like to wear a bathing suit, or even SHORTS for that matter, again in public w/o having a complete freak-out! Also, I'd like to eventually stop smoking again, w/o the 9000lb weight gain that I got last time.

About Me
I lost 40lbs prior to the year 2008 and then in January started the Atkins Nutritional Approach and have lost over 75lbs since then. My fiance has been doing the ANA with me and he's lost about 90lbs, I think. Guess I'm just here for friends to motivate and for support. I've always struggled w/weight issues, regardless of whether I was fat or thin and I've even dealt w/a few eating disorders in my day. I decided one day that I was gonna be happy though, despite my weight, and well, I kinda let myself go. Since my fiance and I have been together (going on 8yrs), I'd more than doubled my size. I used to be a huge health freak and then stopped exercising and started eating out all the time when we got together, and as you know, that's not a way to be healthy. I read Atkins New Diet Revolution the whole way thru and I understand why it works and I also understand why others are skeptical. I just thought this seemed like a nice network to be a part of and I'd heard about it thru work, when our Weight Loss Challenge started in December07. My team won, and I won the individual weight loss. I suppose I'm here to brag a little too, even though I'm still working on it. I didn't put the weight on overnight though, so I'm trying to be patient about taking it off, especially now that I'm down to the last 20lbs. AND I'd like to say that if I can do it, I know anybody else out there can do it too! Congrats on even trying!!

You've done spectacularly well! I'm really proud of you, Christy! My cousin is back in town for a few months, and I finally have some mojo again to get myself in order and smaller. She and I are going walking this afternoon, and we're supposed to help each other with this lifestyle change/weight loss thing....but if she doesn't stick with it, I still will. I kept trying to lose weight for other people, but I'm doing this for me from now. And having my gallbladder out certainly has helped me to be careful about what I eat, but I'm not using that as my reason for why I'm losing weight. I want to lose it, and I'm gonna lose it. I have a goal to be happy with myself inside and out by 27, and I'm going to reach it. I am! Miss you! I'm preparing your birthday present. Love you, bye!

Hey catching up on my informercial watching this weekend I saw one from beachbody called 10 minute trainer. Like all of their products it looks like it should really work. I'm thinking about getting it. Thought I would mention it to you because I know you don't like to work out and it's only 10 minutes per workout session. Look it up online and let me know what you think.

Love the new pic - I can't imagine that you have no muscles, because that picture makes you look REALLY toned! I do miss your sunny smile, though. Make someone else take the picture!
