How much is too much?

So I am once again disappointed about a big gain. Still I simply am not going to live every day of life with calorie restrictions. Birthdays only come once a year and a person needs to lead a life with celebrations too. Got to be balanced. Apparently when I go off program, I am a sodium monger causing water retention. I have been over my sodium limit of 2300 by 3x's for several days. So it is back to the salt mines for me LOL. I have not slipped too far afield when I look at it though and am hopeful that it will slip back off by next weigh in.
Been reading and hearing others talk about over-training. I am sure I am guilty of that. I truly love to work out. Never thought I would say that! Before this transformation journey I would have said the opposite in fact. Now exercise fills me with hope. It is one thing I can do that makes me feel powerful. After a good long run I feel endorphins racing through me and my body feels strong all day long. My legs have such a nice shape due to the exercise. I love the challenges from the Pirate challenge for 300 minute weekends, 100 rep party or a triathlon. Looking at my stats for the past month or so I am exercising an average of 700 minutes a week. Guess I should read more about over training and how much is too much. On the hand, how is it that they can lose so much and exercise so much on The Biggest Loser show? I think they exercise 4+ hours a day! Is it too much stress on your body if you are enjoying it?

Hey Lori, I have an idea. Why don't you give The Gabriel Method a try. It's not about caloric restriction. It's about ADDING what's missing to your diet. Your body requires certain things in order for it to not feel like it's being deprived which is keeping the fat programs running. By giving these essential things to your body, your body will be satisfied. Go to www.gabrielmethod.com...the ad is on the side of this page. And I'm telling you, it's so freeing! I personally think he's a genius. This program is all about balance, and it lets you live without food being the prominent focal point, without always feeling like you're obsessing with food. What could it hurt to give it a looksie?
