New Start

Written by Lori2 on December 04, 2008

OK day three of making a new start. Not so easy but here I am still trying so that is one great thing. The first few weeks are so challenging. It seems that once I set my mind to stay away from forbidden foods they are all my mind can thing of. Things that were there for weeks and didn't bother me are suddenly irresistible. UGH! But I am sick of my bad habits and want to be healthy and smaller. I can do this. I want this. Keep trying one choice at a time. Write down everything I eat (OMG this is so hard and motivating.) Check in with the site. Learn something new.

Feeling Strong

Written by rileysmom32 on December 04, 2008

THis morning I put on a pair of jeans that a few weeks ago had gotten WAY to snug. Happily I could do them up and breathe! I worked out for an hour and felt like I could do more.....Maybe later today I will put in a yoga DVD. Even better is I can do 10 regular push ups. What an empowering feeling. It makes me want to push myself a little harder. I have stuck to a lower carb diet for almost a week now and feel very good. I have lost a couple of pounds and have a ton of energy. For a change I have no interest in sitting still.

Too good not to share...

"There are few things that we have complete control over, but what we put in our mouths is one of them."

I like being in control. Maybe I need to get a tattoo that says this...

.5 or .2 ......

Written by Ashleymorgan on December 04, 2008

208.5 this morning!
I forgot my camera and the cable so i could upload the picture i took this morning, so i will do it when i get home tonight. The scale said 208 and then jumped up to 208.5, I think i am less than that, but my scale does not do 205.2 or 205.4 so it rounds up.... oh well. I have a scale so it seems a little silly to buy another one :)

Over the hump

Written by AJs_Mom on December 04, 2008

I am so relieved that I got the first 10 pounds off. I have sort of felt like that was a 1/2 way mark for me, because I thought that if I could get 10 off I could handle the rest. I am down 11 pounds since the start of the competition but I have to admit that it wasn't easy. I have watched my food intake pretty closely and exercised nearly every day. Today I am wearing a black suit jacket that I have not been able to button since before the baby was born. I dediced to try it last night just to "see" and it fits again! That has to be one of the best feelings in the world. My arms used to be so big that I could not bend them in this jacket without a really tight squeeze. I can't believe that 11 pounds has made this much of a difference in the way my clothes fit. I have to give the credit to the exercise. When I look in the mirror I can see a little difference but I still have a long way to go.

Lost .02 of a pound. Not much to say about it except that I was cheating all week and losing a little bit of a part of a pound surprises me greatly.

Yikes

Written by hotmamatobe on December 04, 2008

Ok, so yesterday was the pits. I am PMSing and I did ok with my day but the evening killed me. I wanted to eat everything in sight and did manage to inhale too much so that my flex points for the week are gone and I have three days left to the week! I need to REALLY watch what I eat the next three days to get back on track. I am going to try very hard.
