Main Goal

I need to feel as beautiful on the outside as I am on the inside. I've given everything I am to my 6 children and husband, including my identity. But 2009 is the year for me to reclaim myself, and to set free the woman that screams inside of me!!!

Hey, how are things going? Diet and exercise in check, er excuse that, food choices! Diet is a ugly word. Anyway, how are you holding up?

yes ma'am but instead of creeping...right a line or two as well. It's therapeutic even if you aren't active or bang on with food it will help to inspire you here and there and that's the little bit that helps right? And I think of it as a venting tool. If I'm frustrated or proud of somehting I write it down. It might not be how I'm feeling the whole day...but if I'm feeling it I write it down and get it out rather than letting it fester under the surface and derail me completely. That's why sometimes you'll see multiple entries on some days...because I was down for a bit and then I get it out and the rest of the day usually gets better...and if it doesn't then whatever the next day is usually better too. Also even if all day you've eaten like shit and have been a bump on a log but you do something you are proud of like you didn't have ice cream or you did something extra for the kids that made you feel good about you...anything that makes you proud write about that. It's positive and even if it's not about the weight loss journey it's about you. It's something positive that makes you feel proud about being you. Trust me...start writing about those moments each day and they're will be more and more to write about ;)

Today I'm proud that even though I wasn't feeling 100% I dragged my butt out of bed and got to work when it would have been so easy to call in "sick". See...that's as easy as it is and it's about yourself and you don't have to write anything more if you don't want to. Your journal isn't about weight loss it's about you! Weight loss is merely one component. So don't stop writing. We miss you when you do.

don't stress over it. It will happen when you are ready again. If you aren't ready don't force it...it'll only backfire bigger. Best thing to do is let it be for now and just try things like take more steps in a day or something easy that you won't feel bad if you don't get to but it'll help encourage you. It'll all happen in it's own time. You can't compare to others on here that's the biggest thing...everyone has there own moments of resolve but you can't let it make you feel bad that you aren't on task at the moment. Because when you are on and one of us is off you wouldn't want us to feel bad right?! Honestly you are beautiful inside and out. Be happy as you are and the rest will fall into place. On the other hand maybe you need to slow down a little...one person can only handle so much. If you love the fast food find a compromise...maybe order a happy meal with apples instead of the fries and big burger...it helps trust me. Just little things and you won't feel like you are being robbed...and skinny cows are super yummy.

Hey there. It's me. I'm back on here. Been feeling crappy for a while. BUT I stayed mostly true to my eating, lost some weight, started mostly on gluten free/sugar-free. It's all about choices. We can choose the quick fix that we THINK will make us feel good, and it does, momentarily. Then we end up feeling crappier, and feeling guilty and upset with ourselves. Don't beat yourself up Jacqui. Just make the best choice you can in any given situation and circumstance. If you do that, you'll feel proud of yourself, your body will thankyou, and you will thwart off the desire to eat and drink crappy. You control the arms and hands that put the food in your mouth, not the other way around. You can say no at any time. I say, assert your power lady. You've got this. Just believe in yourself and surrender to your power! XO

WOW!!! you're having a terrible time right now!!! But there's always a positive to everything. Your body is telling you to slow down with everything in your life...listen to it. Lisa's right...don't stress over things! Take it one step at a time and just concentrate on getting better. Also that alcohol has got to go before it becomes a crutch...do what you need to but definitely don't use it as a pain or stress releiver. Alcohol is for fun only...repeat after me....fun only LOL. Now for the positive...you can't workout...so be it...but you can lose weight by concentrating on your diet. You say diet is your worst part of losing weight...well now you can take the time you would have been working out and use it to focus on eating healthy. Use that time to plan meals and contingency plans. Use it to make individual size snacks of nuts and dried fruit or individual meals so when the family eats junk you have an alternative that's easy and you won't have the excuse to have what they're having because you have yours ready and prepped. This is your time to wrap your head around controlling your diet. It's also a great time to concentrate on some time for re-reading the Gabriel Method and doing some smart Mode sessions or working on your root cause of weight gains. THIS IS A TIME TO USE YOUR BRAIN!!! :) Not your braun :) I know you can overcome this. Your body needs time to heal so do exactly that. baby and pamper your body while you work on detoxing your diet. Oh just had an idea...do masks, and manicures that kind of thing pamper the outside and while you do them pamper the inside too...see hand in hand...yin/yang!

You are woman let's hear you roar!!!!

P.S. You rock!!!

Oh i KNOW how much back pain can suck it all out of you. The booze can't help with your determination tho. I know u think you need it for the pain, but you don't. If you go that road, you're going to become dependant on it. You have more strength than you know. So, try and limit the pain meds/booze if you can. Go to the Health food store and ask them for natural pain relievers. There are tons of things that help with pain, but are not addictive. You might exhaust every avenue with that before you end up in a good space, it might be a long road. But I'm here for you. I won't let you give up on yourself. Pace yourself too. If you can't do everything right now, DON'T!
Call or txt anytime. Love u babe. Stay strong, and do some deep breathing. Every little bit helps.

WOW, that's tough. I know what you're going through. I'll tell u this, I have chronic back pain from a snow mobile. It's hard to find a balance sometimes. I've gone the whole route. Tylenol 3's. Muscle pain meds, chiropractor. You know what helps the most? No sugar! Yep. Sugar inflames. And when you have a trauma with your body, i.e sciatic problem like yours or any other trauma (from car accidents to stress to birth) your body responds by trying to protect itself and gets all inflamed. Sugar exacerbates that. I know the drinking helps. But try and limit it, or at least drink water with it. It sucks huge, but it doesn't mean that you have to go backwards with all your progress. Don't stress out over it though. Take it one day at a time. I'm SOOOO Glad that you went in and are getting some treatment. Hope u feel better soon. :o/
