Main Goal

i read this in a magazine: (you don't just say i want to lose the pounds,you name the reasons why you want to lose weight,kinda trick the brain so to speak)
i want to be able to sit down w/o my belly rolling over (anywhere!!);i want to turn heads; i want to be healthy;i want to be able to walk a flight of stairs and not be out of breath;i want to be able to help my kids live a healthy lifestyle;i don't want the 1st thing people see entering a room is my belly,and the last thing they see leaving the room is my behind...

Previous Diets

I have tried almost everything under the sun, believe, i have sunk more $$ into the diet (pill) propaganda than the spokespersons themselves~i could tell you what worked for me and what didn't. I of course am wondering if fasting for 1 or 2 days a week might help also, and then just adding liquids (like more water and 100% real juices) might work...

Favorite Workouts

my all time favorite so far is walking, i'd like to get back into that now, so hopefully by summers end maybe i will have shed a good 15 to 20 lbs. I have tried all sorts of workouts and got bored w/ them, I currently have a treadmill, stationary bike, weightbench, and AbLounger, gathering dust...about 3 years ago I joined an aerobics group in my town, until i hurt my ankle doing their jumps and turns, etc... geez....I bet the video from 'Hip Hop Abs' would be a great workout.

Things To Do Before I Die

lose weight so that when my casket is carried i don't want the pall bearers to say 'geez, this thing is heavy!!'; i want to see all of my kids grow up, be there when they all get married, and have kids, and their kids have kids, and so on... i want to be able to travel, and take the kids with us (they haven't see alot outside of ohio); i want to see the ocean again, and maybe travel to all 50 states...

Favorite Activities

I enjoy walking, getting on the comp. reading my mail, and of course watching my reality shows.

Favorite Music

currently anything but rap~ of course i would like to break down and buy that video 'rockin' abs' with the rap music in it, couldn't do those workouts with country or the oldies...

Favorite Movies

the rose;urban cowboy;the breakfast club;friday;next friday;friday after next; cheech and chong (a few of them); gone with the wind;meet the parents; (just to name a few)

Favorite TV Shows

the biggest loser;celebrity fit club;king of queens; clean house; the girls next door (would love to look like one of them!!) I recently saw the show 'Ted or Alive' and seemed to be an interesting show, so we'll see.

Favorite Books

anything by stephen king; do mags count?? >>> cosmo, good housekeeping, family circle, (any of the) Books For Dummies.

Other Interests

winning the lottery, then I could hire a personal trainer to whip me back into shape. I love dogs: we have a doberman named Lady, and about 3 years ago we took in a lab/chow (mix) named Buddy, and in April of this year our son (who's 19) got his 1st puppy and named him Taz~ our home hasn't been the same since!! Our son said that you can tell a 'baby' (puppy) is in the house because there are toys everywhere!! Taz is what I call a RotNSheppard he's a rottweiler/ sheppard mix. Really pretty and he's got big paws, weighs 50 lbs. already and he's only 5 mos. old, and a bundle of energy!! I told my husband in about 2 years I want to adopt another dog/puppy again. They keep you young, and you don't have to worry about them sassing you back~

i currently work full time,and attend school full time,while trying to be a mom full time... imagine that one... when do i have time to lose weight?? right now has got to be the best time~ before anything major happens that could change my world...

haven't been walking much at all,working a lot though. Hopefully to get out of this rut, and soon lose the weight i want to lose~ i need an energy boost to say the least!! i would love to have a group of peiople i could walk with around town or whatever. anyhow, how's yours been going?? better than mine i hope~ talk later, sandy
