About Me
I have been packing around some extra weight for quite a few years but have been steadily putting on more the last few years. I really want to get to a healthy weight, learn to maintain it, and develop different coping strategies. I want to have energy and feel great about being me.

Awesome drop! You are working it! I'm feeling so much better! Thanks for the "just do it" pep talk! I feel like I'm really back in the game now. I have to go to minnesota on friday for my sister's wedding...so wish me luck!

I didn't mean as a reward but as a stopper. Once you've had "dessert" then no more eating. But whatever works for you, sound like you have a plan mapped out. Talk to you later.

lol, i got all chatty and forgot to tell you DAC.
A Daily Accountabity C. (not sure what the c is.
It is a way to stay accountable for your good and bad days.
Alot of us have found that it keeps us working at it in a positive direction. you will notice if people stop posting them they usually are hiding.
I noticed most journal entries goto the adventures tab. Do you think we should put the DAc's in our home pages so they don't go there.
feel free to copy mine or chris's or invent your own.. Let me know if you do.. It's fun to have others to work the accounting with..

Hi lori..
Today was a succes!!
I work at a school 3.5 hours a day. I have 2 children 6 and 11. In the morning after i drop them off i have about 90 min of meeee time.. i make a choice everyday to use that time for me and stay away from letting the house suck it up.. :)
So today i made my am workout...
then worked. took care of family,,
all the regulaer routines.. and then at 7 went to the gym for a pm workout.
I was working 4 nites a week at Linens and Things but the chain of stores collapsed adn they had to close 500 stores nationwide..Our store closed completely just a week ago.
I looked very agressively for work to replace it in Nov and first part of Dec. I think this was mostly out of panic.
I'm still looking but not like i was..
I'm waiting for the right window of opportunity to unfold..
In the mean time i hope to use some of my new free time as extra gym time.
i'm glad you are having fun on the challenge.
Alot of us have known each other for a year now. :)
Enjoy the smooth seas..
Robyn
ps. my BFF is the elliptical too.

Thanks Lori for your comments today. I'm totally worn out. My mom plays this guilt game all the time, and it's hard because I'm a pleaser...but you're right...time to focus on ME and the best way to please ME is to get healthy and fit. It was a rough day, but with so much support, it totally makes it easier. I did jump on my bike today, and I pedalled faster than usual. Tomorrow is going to be....interesting to say the least. My sister's name is Lila.
Thanks again.

How are things going? I commented on your journal, I guess you'll see. Tomorrow I'm going with my Mom to te hospital, she's having a catherization done. Keep her in your prayers. I'll let you know what transpires in a day or too. Have a good one.

Lori! I'm so happy you've had a great four days! I'm feeling alot more motivated and I've been on plan for two days now, plus did some cardio videos yesterday and today. Feeling so much better :)Its just so disappointing that I went backwards the last two months. I keep thinking of where I COULD be right now...but I know I've gotta shake it off! Only positive thoughts, right?
Good luck this week!

I was the poster child for 12 step programs back in the 90's. Then I got into Overcommers Annonymous which is 12 steps through the power of Jesus Christ. When we bought our home 15 min away from that church and switched to a church 3 min away at the time the church family support was soooo great, there wasn't a need. Everything went relatively well in the regards to clean living for years...I church I go to now has no "program"..but I know how to get connected if I choose to.
