I've lost 40 total and been working at it since Jan 08. I have reached several plateaus in the last 15 pounds and it drives me nuts. I read this article that told how to rev up your metabolism and it worked while I could keep to the low calories. It said: drink ice water first thing in the morning. Break up your workout and do smaller amounts more often (if you do 30 min a day-do 15 in the AM and another 15 in the PM) eat smaller meals more frequently during the day, consume your standard (for me 1100 cals) and on the 4th day up the cals by 400. I just added another workout and am trying all the rest and have gotten moving again. With the extra exercise I am more hungry but that means that I am losing. Best of luck to you.

31lbs!!! Wow! That is a fantastic success!!!! Great idea to have a cheat day. I do have small breaks but no cheat day. I can really get out of hand with the cheating so I try to contain it with reason. Low glycemic? Is this through ediets? I've never heard of that before sounds interesting. I am; counting calories 1200-1400, 5 to7 veggies/fruits, exercising(2 mile run one day, 60 min aerobic the next day, 3 mile walk every day), drink 90oz water, learn something new each day. I am making slow steady progress. This week I am trying a new thing I read, breaking up my exercise into different times of the day and breaking up my meals into smaller portions and eating every 3 to 4 hours. I am not sure I see a difference yet.

Yeah, it's nice to meat you too Lori!!I'm doing low glycemic as far as eating, except for Saturdays - my "official" cheat day), working out 4-5 days weekly and drinking lots of water. I've lost 31 pounds total. I was trying to avgerage 10 pounds monthly, but weight loss is unpredictable. As long as the scale continues to go down I'm happy! lol

Hey. It is good to meet you. How are things going? I seem to be up and down lately. Today is a better day. I am getting close to that 200 mark where you just passed and I want to get there. So have you lost 28lbs reciently? My ultimate goal is about a total of 100 lbs too. I started in Jan. 08 and really really want it. My goal is to get there by Jan. 09 and learn some new ways of living so I can keep it there. I think you are right on with the being active and drinking lots of water. So welcome to the site and best of luck to you. Have a fantastic day.
