Main Goal

When I married ten years ago, I weighed 117. I thought I was fat. After I had my son nine years ago, I settled at around 122. I thought I was really fat. After I had my daughter almost four years ago I got down to 122 again, but went back up to 127 and hovered there. I was mortified. I started training for a half marathon, and not long after started Zoloft (PPD). The day I ran the half marathon I weighed 132. Disastrous. After I the race I didn't run for a while (injured myself in last 200 feet)...weight jumped to 140ish. Over the past couple of years I've slowly creeped up to 155. I'm sure it's not the lack of consistent exercise and wine.

My goal? Mostly, I don't want to gain more weight and think about how much I wished I *only* weighed 155. Beyond that, I want to lose this spare tire. I'd love to see 140. Ultimately, I don't want to be embarrassed at how I look.

You know that moving is one of the top stressers in life. Along with getting married. Still you managed to be healthy and lose weight. You're doing great, chicka!

Hi Christine! =)
Have you finished moving yet? Holidays are coming and its tough trying to lose weight then, but I think doing the eliptical is a great choice. You have a smaller chunk to lose than me, but I know it still bothers you just as much. Keep in mind your muscle weighs more than fat so the exercise may tone your muscles and give you a leaner healthier appearance even if you aren't really noticing a huge number drop on the scale. Don't give up!! The more muscle the more fat you burn!

Don't get discouraged with the bouncing around. My graph does the same thing. Overall, though, you're down. That's what matters.. a general trend.

Let's finish strong!
