When I started this website I was at 140. Now 2 months later I have become Vegan and I now weigh 120lbs. For everyone out there who doesnt know what Vegan is, let me fill you in :)

I no longer eat any kind of meat (including fish) and I no longer eat any kind of dairy (including eggs, cheese, milk, Mayo). Sounds like I turned crazy right? Notta...I am so happy I made this change and I dont regret it for a second!! I work out Mon-Fri and I've also cut out ALL pop from my diet.

I will however tell you to go out and Read the book "Skinny Bitch"...thats what made me turn my life around!!

I think you look awesome. I see you're from Mi and I am too. It makes this weight loss thing seem a lil more personal knowing there are other girls out there trying hard to make good choices and to get healthy.

I know that going vegan is what I want to do. Thanks for offering to share recipes. Do you use a lot of the prepackaged products the book suggests or do you mostly cook at home now?

Congrats on your weight loss! You look amazing!

Thanks for the add. I just finished reading Skinny Bitch a little while back and I haven't made all of the changes I'd hoped to make by now. I've cut out beef and pork but I'm still eating seafood and I haven't dropped the coke or coffee habit. How did you approach it? Did you make all the changes at once?

Hello Amy Marie. Weird addressing you my name lol. That's impressive that you were able to make such a drastic change and enjoy it. I wonder if it would work for me. I was doing so well and then just hit a funk and fell off the fitness wagon. I hate this feeling. I gotta do something to get back on. Maybe you have inspired me!

Hi! I'm doing good. I'm struggling from day to day but overall have not went on any serious binges like I normally would have & I've gone to the gym 2 out of the 3 days so far this week. YAY me! I think the best/safest way to lose weight & be heathly is to make small changes each day or each week. My change for this week was switching from sugar to splenda. I drink at least 3 coffees/day & just from that switch alone, I'm can lose 1 lb. every 2 weeks. How has your week been?

Hey! I hear ya about the never ending cycle. I love food too much and am a emotional eater. I have gained and lost so much weight its crazy but in the end i always end up heavier. I hope your doing good and if you ever need motivation i will try to help and hope you can in return :) Take it one step at a time. Ciao

Hey Girl,
Thanks for the add. I totally know where your coming from & I think we can be great support for eachother. I was tempted to start smoking again just to stay slim. How stupid is that? Trying to lose weight is very frustrating because it's such a long & gradual process & we want to see immediate results. All you can do is try your best. Take it one day at a time & try to be patient. You mentioned that you either eat a lot or nothing at all, continuing with that pattern is going to kill your metabolism. You have to enjoy everything in moderation. Sure you're gonna screw up once in a while but it truly is all about mind over matter. You're not going to die if you choose a sub over that burger & fries. Small changes make all the difference. Stay positive, you're a gorgous girl, don't forget that!
