I have been overweight for the last 10yrs now and it has started to effect my health. so I consulted my doctor and he did a battery of test and told me I need to lose weight and get healthy or he was going to put me on medication. So here I am!

OH MY!! That's an awful lot of weight to lose in such a short amount of time and with no exercise!
How do you feel? I think I'd be fainting all over the place. lol.

I'm guessing that you got the suppressants because you knew you'd feel hungry on the Atkins? So how's it going without them? I hate feeling hungry and lose my focus and motivation very quickly and usually gain back all the weight I've lost + more once the binging starts. But that's me :( Now I'm very happy to lose 2-3 lbs a week but even that I find hard to achieve.

I can't help but worry about you.. Please...for me... take a multivitamin or something :)

Grats on the loss. Looks like you'll be overtaking me VERY shortly!

Allan, I'm like you. I've been overweight for awhile now and really never had the motivation to do something about it. I've lost 40 lbs since last year and plan on being down to weighing 200 before December 2007. I started a weight loss group challenge here at James Madison University, Accounts Payable, and there are 11 of us in the group. We have to lose 10% of our weight by November 15th, but I plan on doing double that. There's money involved so I'm going to do it! Keep in touch. Oh, and awesome on 18 pounds! Sweet!
